Processing takes 1-4 business days and the visa is valid for 180 days with a maximum 30-day stay. Print 2 copies — digital copies are NOT accepted at the border.

Embassy Visa (Single Entry) is processed through BLS International, VFS Global, or Skylane in India. It allows a stay of up to 90 days and costs from ₹6,113. Processing takes 7-15 business days but gives you more time in Morocco.

Multiple Entry Visa allows multiple entries within the visa validity period. It costs from ₹11,206 and is useful for travellers exploring neighbouring countries.

1-3 Year Tourist Visas are available through the embassy route, allowing multiple entries of up to 90 days each. These are ideal for frequent travellers.

Important: Morocco does NOT offer visa on arrival for Indian citizens. You must obtain your visa before departure. The e-visa is available to Indians without needing a Schengen or US visa — a significant privilege not available to all nationalities.

2. Applying through unofficial websites. The official e-visa portal is www.acces-maroc.ma. Third-party websites charge inflated fees. Always use the official government portal.

3. Passport with less than 3 months validity. The e-visa requires at least 3 months validity beyond your intended departure. The embassy route recommends 6 months. Carry sufficient validity to be safe.

4. Assuming visa on arrival is available. Morocco does NOT offer visa on arrival for Indian citizens. Arriving without a pre-approved visa will result in denied boarding by airlines and denied entry at immigration.

5. Not having enough cash for Morocco. Moroccan Dirham (MAD) is a closed currency — it cannot be bought outside Morocco. Exchange money on arrival. Many places in medinas do not accept cards.

6. Dressing inappropriately. While there is no legal dress code, modest clothing is recommended in medinas, rural areas, and religious sites. Swimwear is acceptable only at beaches and hotel pools.

7. Not negotiating in souks. The first price quoted in souks is usually inflated. Haggling is expected and can reduce prices by 30-50%. Start at half the quoted price and negotiate from there.
