Note that if you have travelled to the Schengen region in the past 2 years, or you are applying for a business visa, or you are a tourist travelling as a part of an organized group, you may submit the application through a third party (as long as they have an authorization letter). The application for the Poland visa has to be done online. However, the appointment and application submission must be at one of the two diplomatic missions of Poland in India. This must be according to the jurisdiction. That is your state of residence for the past 6 months. If you belong to one of the northern or eastern states/UT of India, you must make the application at the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in New Delhi. If, however, you belong to a southern or western state/UT of India, you must apply at the Consulate General of the Republic of Poland in Mumbai.
You can extend your Polish permit by contacting the respective authority in Poland. However, note that you cannot extend the short term C category permits under normal conditions. You will be allowed to extend them only in extreme cases. Nevertheless, you may extend the long term D categories depending on the rules.
There are no mandatory medical test requirements for the short term visas. However, the long term categories may have medical tests required. You must check the individual requirements before applying for the permit. In either case, it is advised that you get a health checkup done before travelling to a foreign country.
Since the normal processing time for the Polish permit is around 15 working days excluding the transit time, you must make the application at least 3 weeks before your intended travel date. However, you will not be allowed to make the application more than 3 months before the date of travel.
As per the regulations, there is no exact number of funds you must possess in order to get a Polish permit. As per the requirements, you must show that you have a steady and stable bank account and that you have enough money to cover your expenses in the country. Depending on the expected stay duration, you must have funds for the entire period. This includes expenses such as food, accommodation, travel, etc.
